Every purchase creates an act of giving. This is part of how we want Buddhist Temple Shop to exist in the world: not only as a place where meaningful objects are bought and sold, but as a business that turns commerce into a repeated practice of generosity.
Why Giving Matters
Generosity has a deep place in Buddhist traditions. Giving can be understood as a way of loosening attachment, supporting others, and remembering that what we receive does not end with us.
For us, the principle is simple: when a customer chooses a piece from our shop, that purchase also creates a charitable contribution.
One Purchase. One Act of Giving.
Each completed purchase is connected with a charitable contribution as part of our giving-back commitment. We do not want this to be a hidden sentence in a footer. It is one of the values we want customers to understand when they choose to shop with us.
What the Purchase Represents
A customer may come for a red string bracelet, mala, jade piece, Buddha pendant, Dzi-style bead, or meditation object. The object carries its own symbolism, but the purchase also becomes part of a larger cycle: receiving something meaningful while helping create support beyond the transaction itself.
Transparency as We Grow
As the program develops, this page will be the place where we publish clearer updates about our giving activity, including the organizations or projects supported, contribution records, and milestones when available.
We believe generosity is strongest when it is practiced repeatedly. That is why our commitment is built around the purchase itself: one purchase, one act of giving.
